Position Summary: Church & State Wines is seeking an experienced and motivated Sales & Marketing Manager to lead sales initiatives and oversee marketing strategies across our wine and hospitality operations in British Columbia. Based in Burnaby, BC, this full-time role plays a key part in driving revenue, brand presence, and product development. The successful candidate will manage retail operations, e-commerce channels, and key account relationships, while also contributing to product innovation and broader company initiatives. With a strong understanding of the wine sales landscape and a passion for delivering excellence, the Sales & Marketing Manager will help shape the future growth of one of BC’s most respected wineries.
Key Responsibilities: - Oversee Oliver tasting room operations, including in-store and e-commerce. - Coordinate wine sales at our related wineries in Victoria. - Manage product listings with Loblaw, Save-On-Foods, and BCLDB. - Review and update wine product pricing as needed. - Oversee wine label design in collaboration with the winemaker (technical and legal aspects). - Collaborate with the winemaker to develop new, marketable products, and assist with wine writer reviews, wine challenges, presentations, etc. - Lead marketing and advertising initiative. - Participate as part of the senior team on broader company matters and projects
Qualifications and Requirements: - Excellent verbal, written, listening, and reading communication skills in professional and native-level English are required. (CELPIP score of CLB 9 or higher is mandatory. / IELTS score of 8 or higher is mandatory.) - Must have a valid Class 5 driver's licence. - Legally entitled to work in Canada. - Proven experience in wine sales (technical expertise is not required, but strong knowledge of wine sales markets is essential. - Strong sales track record. - WSET Level 2 or above with good knowledge of wines (varietals, global wines, tasting, etc.) - Willingness to travel and/or relocate.
