Requirements:
Extremely organized, with strong attention to detail
A keen business sense and confidence, with the ability to “see the big picture”
Must be able to work independently
Must be able to meet deadlines
Superior computer skills (Excel, Word)
Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks
Ability to work in a team environment
Must be a CPA
Minimum of five years of equivalent experience preferred
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and oversee all accounting functions including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Cash Management
- Full-cycle accounting and month-end close (incl. AR, AP, intercompany billings, journal entries, account reconciliations, revenue recognition, multi-currency accounting, fixed assets, etc.)
- Manage the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results
- Preparation and analysis of timely and accurate monthly financial statements and budgets
- Manage and comply with local, provincial, and federal reporting requirements and tax filings, including tax planning
- Manage other members in the Accounting team
- Provide support to the Accounting Team and Management in all day-to-day matters
- Preparation of cash flow analysis and audit working papers
- Document, recommend and implement improvements to internal controls and accounting processes & procedures
- Hiring, training, and retaining skilled accounting staff
- Other ad hoc duties as required by Management
