So I just wached Clarkson's 2 cents on the 458
[size=3]Having watched countless episodes of TG before, I don't remember Jezza being this.
Well.
Hysterical.
Last time I saw him getting this excited was behind the wheel of a 430, which now, apparently, is completely worthless when parked next to Maranello's new flagship uber coupe.
No doubt, the 458 is Godlike, on the dragstrip or around the oval.
I am however, still not sold on the looks. I get the form-over-function thing, but F430 wins hands down in the aesthetic department, especially on the front end.
Neither am I a big of the all-in-one steering wheel as well as the speedo-or-navi-but-not-both dash setup. If this car was designed to be driver-oriented, shouldn't all the information be available at a mere glance, and the buttons be where at their logical places, and not clustering up the one of the most important elements of a sports car--------the wheel?
Maybe I am just too attached to the 430 to admit 458 is better, LOL.
