     Wuhan is a blazing burner in summer.  The temperature can reach up to 45 degree Celsius.

     It was so scorching that I felt smothered to death. The high temperature was unbearable although the air conditioners were working hard. The feeling of heat stuck with my mind when I looked through the window, with the sunlight glaring.

     I was reviewing the seasonal publishing plan when the phone rang. I picked up the receiver and heard the voice of the editor-in-chief. He asked me to come to his office on the third floor.

     Having appeared in front of the editor-in-chief, I requested if I should inform him of the seasonal publishing plan. The editor-in-chief said, with a smile,

     "Have a seat, please. Today I would like to have a chat with you about my personal affairs. I choose not to talk with you on the seasonal publishing plan."

      I felt a little stunned. At this moment the editor-in-chief was not like the person as he normally was. He used to take on a serious face.

     “I’ll talk with you about my headache—my younger brother.”

     Since the open-door policy was implemented in China, my younger brother carried on his business, travelling from north to south, from east to west. As an energetic man, he was always having affairs with women. At the beginning everything went well with him. However, something went wrong with him last month.

     “Did he lose his money?”

     “No. He had trouble with his health.”

     “Was he ill?”

     “Yes. He suffered from a disease, for which I feel ashamed to tell you.”

     “Did he see a doctor?”

     “Yes. The doctor gave him a prescription, telling him that he could not have sexual life for at least three month.”

     On hearing what the doctor had said, my younger brother, who had received little education and had not understood the doctor, yelled at him,

     “What? My elder brother has a sexy wife. My cousin has a sexy wife. Why can’t I have a sexy wife.”
