THL Gourmet Foods Inc. is one of the leading importers and distributors of food products from the Pacific Rim and other regions of the world. We are currently looking for a detail-oriented Warehouse Administrative Assistant I (Morning Shift) to join our Warehouse team at our Burnaby location.
 
 
Position Summary:

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and customer-focused Warehouse Administrative Assistant I (Morning Shift) to join our Operations team.

This role provides essential administrative support to the Warehouse Office while assisting with shipping, logistics coordination, and daily operational processes. The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring smooth warehouse operations, accurate order processing, and excellent service to both internal and external stakeholders.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organized professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working cross-functionally with warehouse, sales, transportation, and customer service teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a liaison between Sales Representatives and the Warehouse team to ensure clear, accurate and timely communication
  • Generate Proof of Delivery (POD), process sales orders, and generate invoices accurately and efficiently
  • Coordinate outbound shipments with third-party carriers, including dispatching, scheduling pickups, and appointment bookings
  • Receive and reconcile payments collected by drivers, ensuring timely handover to the Accounts Receivable team
  • Provide professional customer service by responding to inquiries and resolving delivery, order, or shipment-related issues
  • Monitor and track sales orders, pickup requests, and WMS transactions to ensure timely completion
  • Maintain accurate records, files, and system data related to warehouse operations
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist with other administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous administrative, customer service, or office support experience required
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated adaptability and willingness to learn new systems and processes
  • Ability to perform occasional physical tasks, including lifting up to 40 lbs

Assets/ Nice-to-Haves:

  • Minimum 2 years of related experience in warehouse administration, logistics, shipping/receiving, or supply chain environments
  • Experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 and/or Körber WMS is considered an asset
  • Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese or Cantonese is an asset
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Outlook
  • Understanding of workplace safety procedures and warehouse best practices

Working Hours:

  • Full time, 40 hours per week
  • Scheduled for any 8- hours between 5:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday to Friday

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Expected Hourly Wage: $18.66 -$24.95
