| 详情描述 As an Architectural Technologist, you will work closely with our project management and engineering teams to produce precise architectural and structural drawings. Your day-to-day will include:
- Preparing detailed 2D architectural drawings, floor plans, elevations, and structural sections for municipal building permit (BP/DP) submissions.
- Modifying and updating existing drawing packages based on site measurements, city inspector feedback, or engineering changes.
- Coordinating with project managers, structural engineers, and MEP consultants to ensure design accuracy and compliance with code requirements.
- Developing 3D models and renderings to assist with project visualization and client presentations when needed.
- Maintaining organized digital drawing archives and project documentation.
- Traveling to various project sites across the Lower Mainland for site measurements, structural verification, and project coordination.
Qualifications & Requirements
- AutoCAD Mastery is a MUST. You must be highly proficient, fast, and organized with layers, blocks, and Xrefs in 2D drafting.
- Building Code Knowledge is a MUST. Solid familiarity with local municipal bylaws and the BC Building Code (BCBC) is required to ensure drawings pass city review.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of drafting experience in the Canadian architectural industry.
- Communication: Strong communication skills in English. Ability to understand and interpret hand-sketches, site notes, and technical redlines.
- Detail-Oriented: A sharp eye for structural accuracy, dimensions, and clear presentation.
- Mobility: Valid BC Driver’s License (Class 5) and access to a reliable vehicle are required for travel to project sites and municipal offices.
Assets (Highly Valued but Not Required)
- 3D Modeling & Rendering: Proficiency in 3D drafting or rendering software (such as SketchUp, Revit, Rhino, or AutoCAD 3D) is a strong asset.
