Position Summary:
We are a small but growing company specialized in apparel branding and decoration, embroidery and custom printing, based in Vancouver. We’re looking for a hands-on, creative, and results-driven Marketing & Sales Assistant to help us grow our customer base and online presence.
The Business Development & Marketing Assistant assists the manager to identify and introduce the company’s products and services to existing and potential customers, to establish and maintain positive relationships with customers and referral sources, responding to customers’ requests and concerns.
Essential Job Functions / Responsibilities:
Research
- Identify business opportunities by researching industry events, publications, and announcements
Marketing
- Develop business briefs, presentations, newsletters, website content, email campaigns, and promotional campaigns to attract new customers, suppliers, and trade partners
- Develop, execute, and maintain social media presence
Resource Creation & Management
- Regularly update relevant business development and marketing materials, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and professionalism
- Create at least one new flyer per week
- Update brochures and catalogues
- Take product photos and videos for website and marketing
Ecommerce & Online Sales
- Create and manage an ecommerce website to sell products
- Sell products via other online stores such as Shopify and Amazon
- Promote ecommerce websites to generate new sales
- Send mass eDM twice per week (one new, one old)
- Promote new products and services to existing customers
Marketing Management
- Manage resources and work with other staff for marketing and new business development
Trade Partner Relationships
- Develop and maintain relationships with trade partners to gain referrals and influence customer decisions
Customer & Inquiry Management
- Take care of new inquiries and new customers
Sales Activities
- Research, identify, contact, consult, and follow up with potential B2B customers to ascertain their potential requirements for our embroidery and printing products/services
- Attend tradeshows, conferences, meetings, and industry events
- Contact potential clients in person, via email or phone to establish rapport and set up meetings
- Utilize current resources for introductions
Presentations
- Prepare business presentations and sample kits
- Deliver quotes and proposals to prospective customers
- Inform customers about new products and developments
Account Management
- Maintain fruitful relationships with existing and potential customers
- Provide quality support and research/recommend solutions
- Effectively handle customer concerns
Sales Management
- Work with inside sales and customer service team to ensure highest quality of service is provided to customers
Teamwork & Backup
- Support and backup the inside sales and customer service team (CSR)
- Support operations and recommend improvements
- Backup graphic technicians as needed
Business Development & Marketing Skills & Qualifications (Required):
- Fluent English (spoken & written)
- B2B sales experience
- Motivation for sales & prospecting skills
- Sales planning & selling to customer needs
- Territory management & market knowledge
- Presentation skills & professionalism
- Digital marketing & social media skills
- Graphic design skills (flyers, brochures)
- Web design & ecommerce skills (Shopify, Amazon)

Compensation & Details:
- Pay:20-25 per hour (depending on experience)
- Location:Vancouver (in-person only)
- Hours:Part-time or full-time, flexible
