Precious Smiles Academy is a children's center composed of 30 months old to kindergarten-age programs such as Fun Family Phonics, Mathematics, Language and Literacy, Science, Writing/Counting/Cutting, Visual Art, Montessori Activities, Social Study, Mandarin, Dance/Yoga/Movement, Music, and Sign Language. As expanding of the second center location, we are currently seeking an experienced and licensed ECEA for our programs.

Hourly Wage: $19-20 per hour

Job Title: ECEA/Early Childhood Education Worker (NOC CODE: 42202)

Job Description: 

• Interact directly with the children to provide quality care
• Prepare snacks and arrange rooms for lunch and rest periods, assist with proper eating, dressing and toilet habits
• Assist with planning and implementation of a consistent child-centred program
• Maintain a neat and clean environment, including all activity and program areas, common spaces, and washrooms
• Ensure that all safety and supervision standards are implemented and maintained
• Collaborate with our team to deliver high-quality programs
• Prepare written observations on children to ECE or manager
• Establish and maintain positive daily communication with families
• Attending Richmond team training, and staff meetings as scheduled

Job Requirement: 

• ECEA license required
• Completion of college in the Education field is required
• Several years of relative work experience is required
• Knowledge of assisting children with ADHD and behavioural issues is required
• Experience and passion for creating innovative, play-centred programs
• Current emergency first aid & CPC-C certificate, and TB test result are required
• Additional courses/training related to child growth and development an asset
• Maintain regular attendance, punctuality and be professionally dressed and well groomed
