Inventory Planner I - Temporary (Maternity Leave), Full-Time

Location: Burnaby

Canda Six Fortune Enterprise Co. Ltd. is one of the leading importers and distributors of Asian food products from the Pacific Rim and other regions of the world. We are currently looking for an Inventory Planner to join our HR team in our BC office. This is a temporary, 18 month contract position that will cover for a staff member going on maternity leave.

Position Summary:

The Inventory Planner I reports to the  Senior Purchasing Department Manager. The ideal candidate will conduct daily reviews on inventory level, overseas replenishment, sales review and data analysis and other duties related to inventory management as needed.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Stock review
2. Stock replenishment/filled and unfilled rate
3. Purchase order placing
4. Data analysis
5. Overstock control
6. Obsolete/damaged stock control
7. Inter branch stock arrangement, shipment arrangement – customs
8. Compliance and logistics

Requirements / Must-Haves:

• Post-secondary degree preferred or a combined 3-4 years of experience in inventory planning
• Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook)
• Ability to prepare sales review reports
• Strong analytical skills in order to interpret data
• Ability to plan, balance and multi-task in regards to job responsibilities based on business need
• Ability to listen, take direction and learn quickly
• Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines while producing high quality work
• Ability to communicate in, as well as read and write in English

Assets / Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience in international trade is a plus
• Ability to communicate in Chinese, Korean or Japanese is an asset
