Medical Office Assistant (MOA) - Mango Medical Clinic, Burnaby, BC

Mango Medical Clinic is a brand new Family Practice Office located just south of the Burnaby Metrotown Skytrain Station. Our clinic is looking for a part-time or full-time MOA to join our team in October 2016. At Mango Medical Clinic, maintaining a healthy work culture is one of our priorities.

The applicant must possess the following qualities:

• Excellent Communication Skills

• Knowledge and Experience with the Electronic Medical Record System (EMR)

• Enjoys meeting new people

• Likes to smile

• Keen on learning new skills

• Speed and accuracy of completing assigned duties

• Problem solving skills

• Has good judgment

• High school diploma or equivalent is required

• Fluent English is required

• Formal MOA training certification is an asset

• Mandarin Chinese is an asset

• Experience with the OSCAR EMR is an asset

Some duties include:

• Scheduling and coordinating appointments for patients

• Providing quality customer service to patients

• Greeting and registering patients on arrival

• Answering office email and messages from doctors

• Assisting in general medical administrative duties (running patients, answering phones, organizing patient referral, cleaning & tidying of clinic)

• Ensuring exam rooms are kept stocked and ordering supplies as necessary

• Perform clinical duties such as vital signs, obtaining patient specimens and preparing rooms for clinical procedures

Compensation: $13-15 per hour, based on experience

3-month paid training and probation period

Employment Type: part-time or full-time.
